Downtown Omaha Engagement Photos
Michelle & Vincent’s downtown Omaha engagement session was a dream to capture! It was filled with laughter, sweet moments, and the perfect city views.
This whole session consisted of kissing and touching. Michelle and Vincent are definitely not afraid of showing their love languages: physical touch! Their relationship reminds me of an old romantic movie and I had the best evening with them exploring downtown. They were such a blast to photograph!
Engagement Photos in Downtown Omaha
What I love about engagement sessions here in downtown Omaha is you have such a wide variety of backdrops and can create so many different vibes with your photos. It just all depends on what you have envisioned! For this session, we loved the look of the brick as well as the older buildings that created a very simplistic background, making the focus on Michelle and Vincent.
But you can also choose to take some fun shots along the street, or even stop in at one of your favorite restaurants. There are so many unique spaces around downtown, and you can really customize your session to fit you and your partner!
What to Wear for Downtown Omaha Engagement Photos
Here are a few ideas of what to wear for a downtown engagement session in Omaha!
Keep it casual
I love that Michelle and Vincent chose a more casual route with jeans, sneakers and t-shirts. And there’s nothing wrong with that! If this is more typical of how you dress on a daily basis, keep your session more like you and throw on your favorite jeans and sneakers to explore the city.
Or go dressy
If you want more of a classy, city vibe to your session, you can opt for a dressy look instead. Think a dress and heels, a collared shirt, or even a blazer. A classy look would pair perfectly with a rooftop bar, or some of the historic buildings around the city.
Choose neutral colors
Downtown is typically filled with a lot of color and can feel like a very busy backdrop, so opting for neutrals will help ensure that your photos don’t feel too distracting. Think about whites, creams, tans, browns, or other earthy colors in a muted tone. Jeans are always a great idea, and pairing a neutral top with them is a perfect combo!
Avoid patterns
Just like you want to avoid too many colors for a session downtown, you also want to stay away from patterns with such a busy backdrop. This can take the attention away from you and your partner, so choosing solid colors will always be a better option.
Omaha Wedding Photographer
Hey! I’m Madison a destination photographer based in Nebraska. This downtown Omaha session was full of belly laughs. These two absolutely brought charm and intention to their session. If you’re looking for a Midwest wedding photographer, I’d love to help plan your day!
