Your engagement is such a fleeting and special time—before you know it, you’ll be deep in wedding planning, and it’s easy to forget to pause and enjoy the moment. Think of your engagement session as a fun date with your fiancé...with the bonus of beautiful photos to capture it all!
Engagement sessions are also a great way for us to connect and for you to get a feel for how I guide and direct during shoots. The best part? These sessions are completely customizable to reflect you. Whether it’s your favorite coffee shop, the local bar where you had your first date, or an activity you both love—like hiking, fishing, playing board games, or biking—we’ll create a session that feels uniquely yours.
Families

My approach to family sessions is a little bit different from when I grew up. When I think back to my own childhood family photos, I remember sitting forever, staring at the camera, just waiting for everyone to “look good” at the same time. That’s not what I’m about.
My family and newborn sessions focus on capturing your family in a natural, authentic way. Got kids who can’t sit still? Perfect! Let’s have a dance party, play tag, or just embrace the chaos. I’ll let the kids run free (I know it sounds wild, but trust me—mom to mom, it works!) while you soak up those moments with your family. My goal is to capture the real, in-between moments that make your family uniquely yours.

The wedding industry often focuses on competition—who can do it best or make the most money—and, sadly, the couple gets overlooked. I believe many vendors have lost sight of what truly matters: telling the couple's story and helping them celebrate one of the biggest milestones of their lives. That’s what it’s all about for me, and it’s at the heart of everything I do.

A: My attention is focused on authentic interaction and storytelling moments, rather than worrying about staging perfect scenes. However, during portraits, I am not afraid to take charge to deliver the perfect photo (I’m looking at you, groomsman who won’t stop goofing off or oblivious guest who is THIS close to catching on fire during a sparkler exit). Finally, when I begin the editing process, I strive to edit the day as it is delivered with a touch of warmth that beautifully reflects the heartwarming love between the couple.
Q: When will my final gallery be delivered?
A: I guarantee gallery delivery 7-9 weeks after you say “I do.” More often than not, galleries are delivered at 7 weeks, but during busy seasons and having two kiddos that tend to get sick, editing may take a couple of extra weeks.
Q: Do I need an engagement Session?
A. In my opinion? YES. The pictures aren’t the only benefit you’ll receive from your engagement session. This is also an incredible opportunity for us to get to know each other better and for you to become comfortable in front of my camera.
Q: Do you help wrangle family photos?
A. Yes! I have created a mock family shot list to help the family photo portion run smoothly and effectively. We take time to build a list of all the family photo combinations you want to make sure we capture. This way, we make sure no one gets missed and they can head off more quickly to grab snacks and drinks.

A. Yes, it is one of my favorite things! The best way to ensure a stress-free, smoothly flowing wedding day is a well planned day-of timeline. But, with no experience planning weddings, how can you possibly be expected to do that? That’s where I come in! With years of experience watching what works and what definitely doesn’t on a wedding day, I can help you create a timeline that will allow for plenty of picture time, low-key transitions from one venue to the next, and even leave some room for those straggling groomsmen. Then, I’ll pop it into a Google Doc so that you, your vendors, and your bridal party have easy access to it.

A: HECK YES! My passport is always ready and my bags are already half-packed! So, please get in touch ASAP to discuss any out-of-area weddings so we can starting planning for your wedding day!
