Best Wedding Venues in + near Omaha, Nebraska

These are some of my favorite venues in the Omaha and surrounding area that I have personally photographed as the main photographer, associate or second photographer! There is a range from the middle of the city, bright and white venues, to out in the country barn with beautiful foliage options.

Empire Room

Empire Room is located in Midtown Crossing in Omaha, Nebraska. This venue has a hotel right next to it, which is perfect for those out of town guests, but also a major plus for a getting ready location. This venue allows you to have both a ceremony and reception in the building. However, you would have to flip the space which can be time consuming, but doable! One of my favorite things about this venue is the natural light. The eastern part of the building is all windows! There is so much natural light that comes into the venue. Another favorite thing about the venue is that there isn’t a lot of decoration that you need to make the venue look good. The walls are white, which helps it feel light and bright, especially with the windows.

Here’s what is included at Empire Room:

- Separate grand ballroom and cocktail hour spaces
- All-inclusive set up and tear down services
- Glamorous wedding suite with private bathroom and garage access
- Covered garage parking for up to 24 hours
- Bar service and libations by our incredible bar team when you select from our Gold, Silver, or Bronze Bar Packages
- Eight-foot banquet tables or 60-inch round tables
- Seating up to 350 guests

The Stables at Copper Ridge

The Stables at Copper Ridge is located in Denison, Iowa. Denison is an hour and 30 minute drive from Omaha, Nebraska. This venue is one of the dreamiest venues around Omaha. Their outdoor ceremony space is normally set in one space. There is a getting ready space that is separate from the reception venue. The getting ready location is very roomy and your party or 8+ girls can get ready comfortably.

The venue is secluded so you don’t have to worry about the random people wandering onto the property. There are multiple areas around the venue to take pictures outside. One of my favorite things is the tilework outside of the northern part of the venue and the amount of windows. The Stables at Copper Ridge

Here’s what is included at The Stables at Copper Ridge:

- Seats 560 guests
- Bridal suite
- Outdoor wedding space
- Chairs and tables provided

Lauritzen Gardens

The Lauritzen Gardens are based in the downtown Omaha, Nebraska area.
This venue is for the elegant, nature lovers. I honestly love this venue for everything about it. There are a ton of spaces to choose from when it comes to photos. You could have your ceremony outside in multiple places in different areas of the gardens.
The reception area is similar to a hotel ballroom. It doesn’t allow for a ton of light, but with some candles in hurricane vases throughout the whole ballroom you could definitely increase the elegance of the space.

Here’s what is included at Lauritzen Gardens:

- Seats up to 320 guests
- Round tables to use
- 300 designer chairs for indoor use
- Set up and removal of seating conjugation
- On-site security

Lilac Hill

This venue is located in Louisville, Nebraska. The drive is just 30 minutes from the metro Omaha area. The coolest thing about this venue is the foliage that surrounds the reception hall. There are numerous places to have your ceremony outdoors, but also a lot of places to take pictures that won’t feel overused and overdone. The barn is massive with high ceilings that allows for so much natural light to flow in!

Here’s what is included at Lilac Hill:

- Seats up to 250 guests
- 2 changing rooms

Arbor Day Lied Lodge

This venue is located in Nebraska City, Nebraska. This location is about a 40 minute drive from Omaha, and is for nature lovers. The Lied Lodge fits the name of the venue. It is a lodge. The lodge has a lot of exposed wood and that coziness of nature. The ballrooms that are provided are similar to hotel ballrooms but I do think they are better! You might need to add a little more decoration if that isn’t your vibe but the venue is stunning. There are multiple outdoor ceremony spaces to choose from. There is a green space on the back side of the lodge, or you can head to a barn to have the ceremony at. This venue could be counted as a destination wedding venue. But since it is a lodge you have access to a room block. It is a nice little get away from the cities if that is what you are searching for.

Here’s what is included at Arbor Day Lied Lodge:

- Indoor Venue options: Rosenow Room (280), Steinhart Lodge (140)
- Outdoor Venue options: Historic Barn (350), Hazelnut Lawn (280), Woodland Grove (250), The Meadow (200), Heart Shaped Lawn (250), Terrace Garden (150)

Leo Ballroom

The Leo Ballroom has been renamed from the Scoular Ballroom. This location is in Downtown Omaha, Nebraska but not in the center of downtown. There are numerous hotels to choose from that are within walking distance or driving. This venue doesn’t have a lot of natural lighting. There are windows that face the north but don’t allow a lot of light to come in. This venue is really cool because of the vintage vibe. The leo ballroom would be good to have your reception in as you would need to flip the space. If having a live band is something that you would really like, this venue would be perfect for you as there is a stage. The nice thing about having a stage is that it doesn’t take away from the dance floor space.

Here’s what is included at Leo Ballroom:

- Wedding suites with private bathrooms

- Complimentary lot parking in front of the building

- Wi-Fi access

- Set up and tear down services for your tailored floor plan

- Standard eight-foot banquet tables or 60-inch round tables

- Black or white full-length linens for tables
