Creekside Barn Wedding

Emily + Chris’s stunning Creekside Barn wedding was one I won’t forget! It was easy to capture these two at this beautiful Roca, Nebraska wedding venue.

Creekside Barn Wedding

Emily and Chris inquired with me back in May of 2020. They chose to plan their wedding two years in advance so Emily could finish her Masters degree. They had their ceremony at St Josephs Church in Lincoln, Nebraska and their reception at Creekside Barn located on the property of Roca Berry Farm in Roca, Nebraska.

They chose to have their ceremony at the church Emily grew up in. This was an important aspect to their wedding day for Emilys parents. Emily and Chris chose to do an intimate first look with each other to have a moment just for them. It was important that they had some time to themselves and to take in the importance of their wedding day.

After the ceremony Emily and Chris were able hop on a party bus with their bridal party and close friends to make the drive from south Lincoln to Roca. Once we arrived to the venue we hopped on a hayrack ride to go and take bridal party portraits and couple portraits.

My second photographer was able to head to the reception and to grab detail photos of the reception. Emily spent a lot of time and effort to decorate. She was able to DIY a lot of her decor and she put together some amazing pieces.

It overall was a gorgeous day!

Wedding at Creekside Barn

Creekside Barn, one of the two wedding venues at Roca Berry Farm, was originally built in 1917 and was once a home for horses, and now has been transformed to a stunning space to celebrate a wedding. The barn wood walls and hand-carved Amish doors are filled with character, as well as the vintage lanterns and chandeliers that light up the space.

There is a large bar near the entrance, as well as french doors that lead to a 3,100 square-foot deck that overlooks Salt Creek. Guests can enjoy fire pits and take in the stunning trees and the surrounding farmlands. An attached barn also offers two bathrooms, that were built with large weddings in mind.

You will have access to the 180 acre farm that has been around since the 1800’s and is filled with beautiful locations for photos and just to explore. A private drive and parking lot allows your guests to pass the farm activities and enter your celebration.

Everything about this venue is wonderful and is a true hidden gem!
