Breckenridge is also super accessible, only a hour and a half drive from Denver if you’re traveling here from out of state. You can still have those stunning mountain views, without spending your whole day driving to them! You also don’t have to worry about an off season here, the town really stays alive all year long – so you can plan an elopement here any time of year!
There’s no shortage of gorgeous AirBnB’s to choose from here – from small, cozy homes to large houses to fit you and your whole family. Beauty is everywhere here in Breckenridge, so you have many different locations you can choose for your elopement, and all are equally beautiful! Below are a few of my favorites.
With sweeping views of the Tenmile Range, Boreas Pass is an excellent option for couples who want a dramatic mountain backdrop. This scenic location offers both summer wildflowers and vibrant fall foliage, making it a year-round favorite. There’s also plenty of space for your furry friends to join you!
This easily accessible overlook offers panoramic views of the Dillon Reservoir and the surrounding mountains. Perfect for small elopements, Sapphire Point is especially popular during sunrise or sunset, when the lighting adds an extra touch of magic. It’s a spot that doesn’t require a hike, that is also pet-friendly.
For couples who are nature lovers, Cucumber Gulch offers serene wetlands, meadows, and forested areas. The unique location allows for intimate elopement ceremonies surrounded by wildlife and tranquility.
Just a short drive from Breckenridge, Hoosier Pass offers stunning views at over 11,500 feet. This location is perfect for adventurous couples who want to exchange vows amidst towering peaks and alpine scenery. The views here are truly unrivaled!
This hike takes you through alpine meadows, past cascading waterfalls, and up to stunning mountain lakes. While it’s a bit more of an adventure, the views are worth it for those who want an elopement in a much more secluded location.
Some couples prefer the charm of Breckenridge’s historic downtown. For this elopement, we found a cozy awning to frame the town and the mountains in the background. It’s the perfect spot for popping champagne and celebrating in style while capturing the spirit of Breckenridge.

Each season offers something unique for couples eloping in Breckenridge. Here’s a breakdown of what to expect throughout the year:
Breckenridge transforms into a winter wonderland, making it the perfect setting for a snowy elopement, just like this one. If you’re dreaming of exchanging vows surrounded by snow-capped peaks, winter is the best time. Just be prepared for colder temperatures and the possibility of snowstorms.
Springtime in Breckenridge can be a bit unpredictable, with melting snow and muddy trails. However, you’ll start to see wildflowers bloom as the snow melts, creating picturesque scenery.
Summer is the best time to enjoy Breckenridge’s trails, with warm temperatures and lush landscapes. It’s ideal for couples who want to elope in the mountains surrounded by greenery and wildflowers, and want the warm weather to go along with it.
Fall in Breckenridge is a magical time, with the vibrant colors of changing leaves providing a stunning backdrop. The cooler temperatures make for a more comfortable and scenic elopement day.
